Ms Nguyen Thi Dieu Thao
Ms Dieu Thao is currently
a lecturer on Vietnamese and International Food Culture at Saigon University.
At the same time, she holds responsible for Vietnamese Food Club, Sai Gon
Professional Chef’s Guild.
Equipped with deep
knowledge of a scientist, clever hands of an artist and discerning palate of a
culinary expert, Ms Thao has inspired generations of young chefs. Besides
teaching, she is also an author of 10 textbooks, 30 monographs, journals and scientific
researches that were published and accredited. In addition, she is a food
advisor to many restaurants, hotels and resorts. Her strongest desire is to
modernize Vietnamese traditional fare in order to introduce internationally.
She proactively studied different topics on food, nutrition and health,
participated in Vietnamese cooking shows in many campuses around the world such
as University of Potsdam (Germany), University of HungKuang (Taiwan), etc.,
collaborated to develop various products for the USA’s Ministry of Agriculture
as well as running promoting campaigns for Ministry of Agriculture – Forestry –
Aquaculture of Japan and South Korea.
