Mr Eckart Witzigmann is one of the most famous chefs in the world. He gained 13 years experience working in many countries around the world before arriving in Germany in 1971. The Aubergine restaurant in Munich is considered as his flagship restaurant. It is the first restaurant in Germany and Mr Eckart Witzigmann is one of the only two chefs in the world received three Michelin stars. The dream of all chefs.
Mr Witzigmann is revered not just because of his outstanding talent, but also for his passion in constantly passing on knowledge to other chefs. He becomes a mentor and travels around the world teaching and training other chefs. He is also one of the most successful authors having written about foods for twenty years.
Mr Witzigmann also lends his name to the International Eckart Witzigmann Award. It has been awarded since 2004. This personal award is given to honor outstanding individuals in fields such as "culinary arts", "renewal", "responsibility and enjoyment" and “culture”.
Mr Eckart Witzigmann has the title of Professor Dr. Emeritus by Orebro University (Sweden). This is not only to honor his past achievements but also to preserve his knowledge in order that it is passed on to the future generation. This is an award that he is particularly proud of.
This highly regarded Celebrity chef will judge the final round of the 2016 Golden Spoon contest which will take place early in December 2016. Besides the role as a judge, Mr Witzigmann will share his experience and new trends of World cuisine with Vietnamese chefs. In addition he also gives advice on how maintain a successful career in cooking with particular regarding to gaining that all important Michelin Star.
