He comes from Switzerland and inherited his cooking skills
from his mother. Norbert expressed his talented cooking skills from a very
early age.
Giving up many
opportunities to develop a career in big restaurants in America, he came to
Vietnam when he was 22 years old and began working for the first 5 star
“Floating” hotel in Vietnam. He is considered a pioneer in the exploration of
European/Vietnam fusion cuisine. He used to be the judge of The World
Association of Chefs and Black Box contests in Australia. Norbert Ehrbar is the
Deputy Chairman of Association of Saigon Professional Chefs. He has been a judge of the Golden Spoon
contest since 2013.
Choosing Vietnam as a second home, he is
devoted to the guidance, training and promotion of Vietnamese cuisine to the
world.
