50 chef teams enter the semi-final round

The preliminary round of the 2015 Golden Spoon contest took place in six clusters, each corresponding with contested regions nationwide. The jury has awarded 50 tickets for teams to compete in the semi-final rounds

The preliminary rounds in Hanoi and the Red River Delta finished on September 15, 2015 in Hanoi with the participation of 39 chefs making up 13 teams from restaurants and hotels. After a day of competition, the first prize went to the Lotte Hanoi Hotel and six second prizes were handed to the Hilton Hanoi Opera, Sofitel Plaza Hanoi hotel, Saigon Ha Long Hotel, Flamingo Dai Lai Hotel, Bai Dinh hotel and Lake View restaurant system.

With the theme "Home taste - Vietnamese spices Journey", the preliminary round of the 2015 Golden Spoon took place in six clusters nationwide. Before the preliminary round took place in Hanoi and the Red River Delta region it was already conducted in Mekong Delta, Ho Chi Minh City, the Southeast, South Central and Central Highlands, Mid-Central region and the Northern Highlands. Almost 320 chefs of 106 teams from hotels, restaurants and tourist sites brought over 400 delicacies of local and regional specialties.

The Golden Spoon Contest has a total prize value of VND 3 billion and is organized by Minh Long I Co. Ltd and Centre for Business Research and Enterprise Support. It is financed by Ly's Horeca and under the patronage of the national organizations; the Chamber of Commerce - Industry of Vietnam (VCCI) and the Administration Vietnam tourism.
