A young girl who provides cooking services to the wedding parties of workers in Bien Hoa city has finished runner-up in the Golden Spoon contest. She is Chef  Ngoc Nghia and is responsible for a new column named “Kitchen secret” in Marketing World magazine.

One of the biggest companies in the jewelry industry also decided to ask this young chef to cook for three important parties. They normally use the services of 5-star restaurants. The business made the decision after sampling her dishes in a charity event named “Ambassador of small Vietnamese products, Summer Camp”.

Culinary expert Suong Thi Bui says, “The most important thing is Ms Nghia’s passion for her career. This plus her creativity and non-stop effort has brought success which is thoroughly deserved”. Ms Suong also said that while other teams came to the contest with a hundred of kilograms of luggage, equipment and numerous colleagues and friends to support them, Ms Nghia drove her motorbike alone between Saigon and Bien Hoa with kitchen tools such as utensils, pots and pans etc… tied onto her motorbike. She had so much stuff on her motorbike that she caught her foot in the wheel and was limping badly when she arrived. However, such was her determination that she still managed to compete with other teams. She eventually finished in second place. Her efforts and spirit are extremely commendable.

In the Ambassador of tiny Vietnamese products, Summer Camp competition, Ms Nghia volunteered to buy her own ticket and take the bus to the event, and also supported the children of Truong Sa delegation. She showed them how to cook simple dishes and helped them to cut cakes. In addition she shared knowledge about food before returning home overnight. She smiled and said “It is fine for me, I am used to working hard, so I will do whatever I can to help”

Born into a family with a tradition of providing cooking services for wedding parties, Ms Nghia was imbued with the love of cooking from very early. After graduating from cooking school, Ms Nghia started to work in Tien Loc restaurant in Dong Nai province, following a professional wedding party cooking career.

Currently, Ms Nghia works in the kitchen for 12 hours per day and is responsible for everything. She said, "I like to cook, I love to work and I like to see other people happily enjoying my food. Besides, I also have enough money to be able to travel in order to learn new recipes and to increase my skill”

From this week, Ms Nghia will officially work on a new column of Marketing World magazine to share her “secret” recipes with everyone.
